After importing SKUs, you can perform multiple operations on SKUs. You can edit SKUs in case of any changes, cross list SKUs to another Node and delete SKUs if they are redundant and no longer useful. You can also link/delink Digital Assets to SKUs, convert UoM values for SKUs, attach/detach SKUs from a PF as well as download assets linked to SKUs.
A detailed description of how to perform these tasks is mentioned in the following sub-sections:
Editing SKUs
You can edit the SKU details, that is, edit the Schema attributes or edit the Attribute information for a SKU or edit any specific attribute value of a SKU so that all the information mentioned is relevant for the product. If multiple SKUs are selected for editing, they will be listed one below another in the first panel, and the information in the next 2 panels will be based on the SKU selected.
Let us select 2 SKUs residing in the node Accessories>Watches>Analog.
To edit SKUs:
Select multiple SKUs and then click the Edit SKUs
icon. The following options are displayed.

Click Edit SKU(s). The following screen appears.

Figure 126: Edit SKUs from node
Click the SKU to be edited and the attribute information for the selected SKU will be displayed in the second and third panel.

NOTE | The SKU Item ID cannot be edited. Also, a lock |
In case of SKUs which are imported, you will be able to edit them as mentioned here.
In the first panel, you can edit the SKU Title as needed. The Taxonomy Path is non-editable. If the path is very long, it will end in '…' and when you hover the mouse on it, the tool tip will be shown.
Each SKU has an Astro
icon which will give recommendations on the Attribute Values as well as attributes that can be added. Details about how to use these recommendations are explained here.
In the second panel, you can add/ remove schema attributes as well as attributes from the master list and Attribute Groups. You can filter the attributes as well as navigate to any attributes as explained in section Adding SKUs to a Node.
Click the Apply attribute(s) and value(s) to all the SKUs
icon next to any attribute to be copied to any other SKU and the attribute along with the value will be copied.

A warning message is displayed stating the attribute selected along with its value will be copied to other SKUs selected for editing. However, the locked attributes will not be impacted and the values will not be updated for these attributes.

In the third panel, you can edit the attribute values as explained in the section Adding SKUs to a Node. While editing the values, in addition to the suggestions displayed in case of schema attributes, a Show CKB Suggestions
icon is displayed which will give suggestions on the values that can be added for each attribute. These suggestions are based on the data stored in the repository for similar attributes. If suitable, the values can be added directly from this list. For example, in the case of an attribute Frame Material, if the repository has values stored for this attribute, it will display a list of values available.
Click the Edit this value(s) icon next to the value for attribute Color, and the following is displayed.

Click the Show CKB Suggestions
icon and a list of values, if available is displayed as shown below.

Select the value or values to be added and then click Populate Selected > Add and the value is added.
Make the necessary changes as needed for SKU attributes and then click Edit SKU and the changes are updated and reflected in the SKU view. This helps to edit all attribute information for a SKU at once.
NOTE | In case of any validation error due to the Schema Constraints while editing the values, you need to resolve it as mentioned in the section Adding SKUs to a Node. |
If the review mode is turned on for user action Review user actions of updates to SKU attribute value while adding/editing a hierarchy, any changes in the SKU attribute value cannot be done directly as it will be assigned to a reviewer as explained here.
Also, if any of the SKU-Attributes are locked, you cannot edit the values for those attributes as shown below.

A lock
icon will be displayed and the Edit SKUs
icon will not be visible next to attributes which are locked.
Editing Specific Attribute Value of a SKU
You can add / edit / delete any specific attribute value of a SKU. Once a SKU is added, the details appear in the SKU view as shown below.

To edit a specific attribute value for a SKU:
Double-click the attribute value that you need to edit or right-click the attribute value and then click Edit this Attribute Value(s).

Figure 127: Edit specific attribute value option 1
OR
Select the attribute value and then click the Edit SKUs
icon. The following options are displayed.

Click Edit Values as shown below.

Figure 128: Edit specific attribute value option 2
For example, let us edit the values of attribute Brand and the following appears.

Figure 129: Edit attribute value
Make the changes and click Save. Click Add More to add more values and the SKU value is updated accordingly.
NOTE | You can edit multiple SKU attributes but only one attribute value at a time. |
However, if the review mode is turned on for user action Review user actions of updates to SKU attribute value while adding/editing a hierarchy, any changes in the SKU attribute value cannot be done directly as it will be assigned to a reviewer. In this case, while editing the value for Dial Color from Brown to Silver a message is displayed as follows.

Figure 130: Message for action under review
Also, the attribute Dial Color now displays a message when you hover the mouse on it as shown below.

This indicates that the value is not updated as it is sent to the reviewer for approval. The value under review is highlighted in purple color. Thus, in case of any attribute value to be modified which is under review, it will be highlighted with a purple outline.
NOTE | You cannot make any further edits to the SKU attribute value that is Under Review till it reaches a terminal review status. Also, you cannot delete / move / mirror this SKU to another non-primary hierarchy till the review process is complete. However, for the same SKU, you can edit other attributes which are not under review. |
If you try to edit a locked attribute value, the following message is displayed as shown below.

Deleting a Specific Attribute Value of a SKU
Similarly, while deleting an attribute value, if the review mode is turned on for user action Review user actions of updates to SKU attribute value, the SKU attribute value cannot be deleted directly as it will be assigned to a reviewer. A message is displayed as shown in Figure 130: Message for action under review. When you hover the mouse on the value to be deleted, a message is displayed as shown below.

Thus, in case of any attribute value to be deleted which is under review, it will be highlighted with a red outline.
Adding an Attribute for a SKU
You can also add new attributes along with attribute values for a new SKU / existing SKU. If the review mode is turned on for user action Review user actions of updates to SKU attribute value, the new attributes along with their values cannot be added directly as it will be assigned to a reviewer. For example, an attribute Frame Material is added along with values to an already existing SKU. When you add the attribute, a message is displayed as shown in Figure 130: Message for action under review. The attribute and its value is pending to be added as it is under review and will not be visible unless approved by the reviewer. Thus, the attributes Frame Material is not visible as it is under review as shown below.

Depending on the action taken by the reviewer, the value will be approved/rejected /aborted as explained in section Reviewing the User Actions Assigned.
Copying Attribute Values of a SKU to all /selected SKUs
A node will have multiple SKUs. Each of these SKUs will have multiple SKU attribute values. If you need to copy a SKU attribute value of a particular SKU to all /any specific SKUs, instead of manually selecting each and every SKU, you can use this option to copy the values in a few clicks. You can copy an attribute value of a SKU to a selected SKU attribute or all SKU attributes in the node. You can also copy a SKU attribute value to all SKUs in the PF belonging to the same node.
NOTE | You can copy attribute values to SKUs in the same node / across multiple nodes. |
Let us consider a node Watches having 3 SKUs. We will understand how to copy attribute values of a SKU to a selected SKU/ all SKUs / all SKUs in the PF in the following sections.
Copy an Attribute Value of a SKU to all SKUs
You can copy an attribute value of a SKU to all SKUs having the same attribute in the node. This feature is useful to update bulk SKU values as this action will update the values in a single instance instead of manually updating each value which can be tedious and time consuming.
To copy an attribute value to all SKUs in the node:
Select the node and then select the SKU from where the attribute value is to be copied. For example, a SKU with ID Ana1458 is selected in the node Analog.
Select the attribute having the value to be copied. For example, an attribute Dial Width is selected having value 10 mm which needs to be copied to all SKUs.
Right-click the selected attribute and then click Copy Value To > All SKUs as shown below.

OR
Select the attribute and then click the Edit SKUs
icon and then click Copy Value To > All SKUs as shown below.

Figure 131: Copy attribute value to all SKUs
The following screen appears.

Figure 132: Confirmation screen to copy values to all SKUs
A detailed description of the attribute name and the value being copied and the number of SKUs to which it will be copied is displayed.
There are two options available for copying an attribute value:
Add a new attribute value (may result in the attribute containing multiple values) – this is selected by default. In this case, the value will be added as a new attribute value, that is, all existing entries will exist. This will result in attributes with multiple values in case of existing values.
Overwrite existing attribute values – In this case, the value copied will overwrite any existing value, that is, existing values will be removed.
NOTE | In case of SKU attribute values which are locked, this action will not update the values for such attributes. |
Select the appropriate option and then click Submit. The value is copied to all SKUs. However, if any SKU has any schema constraint set, a validation error will be displayed. Also, since the value will be copied to all SKUs, attributes with similar attribute values will also be updated as shown below.

Figure 133: Add new attribute value
As shown in the above image, the Add new attribute value (may result in attribute containing multiple values) option was selected. Hence, values have been added to existing SKUs. All SKUs had existing values to which 10 mm also got added. Since these SKUs had a schema constraint ‘Disallow Multivalues’, a validation error is displayed as it cannot have multiple values.
If we select the Overwrite existing attribute values option, all the existing values will be overwritten and attributes with no values will be updated with the copied value as shown below. If there are multiple existing values for an attribute, this action will replace it with the selected single value.

Figure 134: Overwrite existing attribute value
Copy an Attribute Value of a SKU to Selected SKUs
You can copy an attribute value of a SKU to selected SKUs having the same attribute in the same node.
To copy an attribute value to selected SKUs in the node:
Select the node and then select the SKU from where the attribute value is to be copied. For example, a SKU with ID Anaq7852 is selected in the node Analog.
Select the SKU to which the value is to be copied. For example, we select a SKU with ID Ana4589.
Right-click the attribute value to be copied, that is, Brand having value Casio and then click Copy Value To > Selected SKUs as shown below.

Figure 135: Copy attribute value to selected SKUs
The following screen appears.

Figure 136: Confirmation screen to copy values to selected SKUs
A detailed description of the attribute name and the value being copied and the number of SKUs (depending on the SKUs selected) to which it will be copied is displayed.
Select the appropriate option as explained in Copy an Attribute Value of a SKU to all SKUs section and click Submit.
The value is now updated in selected SKUs based on the options selected.
NOTE | In case of SKU attribute values which are locked, this action will not update the values for such attributes. |
Copy an Attribute Value of a SKU to all SKUs in PF
The attribute value of a SKU can also be copied to all SKU attributes that are attached to a PF in the same node. However, by default, any changes made in the SKU attribute value in the SKU view automatically reflect in the PF if it has the SKU attached.
To copy an attribute value to all SKUs in the PF:
Select the node and then select the SKU from where the attribute value is to be copied. For example, a SKU with ID AVI259 is selected in the node Aviator. The attribute Frame Material having value Plastic is to be copied.
Right-click the attribute value to be copied and then click Copy Value To > All SKUs in Product Family as shown below.

Figure 137: Copy attribute value to all SKUs in PF
The following screen appears.

Figure 138: Confirmation screen to copy value to all SKUs in PF
Follow the steps mentioned in section Copying SKU Value to all SKUs in Current PF.
Thus, the SKU value is updated in the PF based on the option selected.
However, if the review mode is turned on for user action Review user actions of updates to SKU attribute value while adding/editing a hierarchy, while copying attribute values of a SKU to all/ selected SKUs, the values will be modified and hence the values will not be copied directly as it will be assigned to a reviewer. As the values will be updated/modified, it will be assigned to a reviewer as explained here.
Depending on the action taken by the reviewer, the value will be approved/rejected /aborted as explained in section Reviewing the User Actions Assigned.
Deleting SKUs from Nodes
You can also delete SKUs from a node if they are no longer relevant. However, deleting a SKU will only delink attributes and schema attributes as well as its details from the SKU. The attribute and schema attribute will exist in the attribute master list and schema view respectively.
To delete a SKU:
Select the SKU from the node and then click the Delete SKU(s)
icon. The following dialog box appears.

Click Yes and the SKU is deleted successfully from the node.
NOTE | You can delete multiple SKUs from multiple nodes at a time. |
However, if the review mode is turned on for user action Review user actions of adding or deleting a SKU while adding/editing a hierarchy, you cannot delete the SKUs directly as it will be assigned to a reviewer. In this case, while deleting a SKU, a message is displayed as shown in Figure 118: Action under review message.
A red
icon is now displayed next to the SKU which indicates that approval to delete the SKU is pending as shown below.

NOTE | You cannot perform any action on this SKU as it is Under Review till it reaches a terminal review status. Thus, you cannot edit / delete / move / mirror this SKU to another non-primary hierarchy / attach/ detach the SKU / link /delink assets till the review process is complete. |
Depending on the action taken by the reviewer, the value will be approved/rejected /aborted as explained in section Reviewing the User Actions Assigned.
Linking/Delinking Digital Assets to/from a SKU
You can link/delink digital assets to/from a SKU. A detailed description of digital assets, its features, uses and so on are detailed in chapter Digital Assets. Refer to this chapter for more details. In this section, we will understand how to link and delink assets to/from a SKU.
A detailed description of how to link and delink assets is provided in section Linking/Delinking Digital Assets to/from a Node. The only difference is that here the assets will be linked to SKUs instead of nodes and will be associated to SKUs. However, the procedure to link/delink remains the same.
Also, once an asset is linked to a SKU, the column for the respective SKU is updated with an icon as shown below.

Figure 139: Viewing linked assets to a SKU
You can hover the mouse on the icon and a thumbnail of the primary asset linked is displayed. Click View Details to view details of active and inactive asset linkages for the SKU.
NOTE | You can link/delink assets to only one SKU at a time in the SKU view. |
However, if the review mode is turned on for user action Review user actions of linking or delinking a digital asset to a SKU while adding/editing a hierarchy, you cannot link/delink assets to/from a SKU directly as it will be assigned to a reviewer. In this case, while linking/delinking assets to/from a SKU, a message is displayed as follows.

Figure 140: Action under review message
Also, the SKU is not linked to the asset and an
icon (the number indicates number of assets) is now displayed next to the SKU which indicates that approval to link/delink the SKU to an asset is pending as shown below.

NOTE | You cannot delete the SKU which is Under Review till it reaches a terminal review status. If you try deleting a SKU, the following is displayed.
However, you can edit / move / mirror this SKU to another non-primary hierarchy / attach/ detach the SKU. |
Depending on the action taken by the reviewer, the value will be approved/rejected /aborted as explained in section Reviewing the User Actions Assigned.

There are 4 steps to be performed to edit the images. Refer section 18.14.2 Editing Images from the DA Library for complete details on how to perform these 4 steps to successfully edit the images.
Attaching/Detaching SKUs to/from a PF
A Product Family (PF) is very similar to an Attribute Master Group. An Attribute Master Group consists of a group of attributes having similar characteristics whereas a PF is a logical categorization of a group of SKUs which have minor differences with each other. Refer Defining Product Families (PF) to know more about PFs.
In this section, we will understand how to attach and detach SKUs to and from a PF.
NOTE | You can attach or detach SKUs to/from a PF within the same node as the PF belongs to a node. Hence, it is important to first create a PF and then attach/detach SKUs. Also, you can attach/detach multiple SKUs at a time. |
Attaching SKUs to a PF
Attaching a SKU to PF indicates that the SKU belongs to the PF. Typically, SKUs that have similar attributes as the PF will be attached to a PF. If a SKU is already attached to a PF, the same SKU cannot be attached to any other PF within the same node.
For example, consider a node Aviator. Let us assume that a PF is already created in this node. Let us attach a SKU to this PF.
To attach a SKU to a PF:
Select the node from where the SKU is to be attached to the PF. In this case, the node Aviator.
Go to the SKU view and select the SKU to be attached. For example, let us select the SKU with Item Id AVI259 from Aviator node.
Select the Attach/Detach SKU(s)
icon and then click Attach SKU(s) To PF as shown below.

OR
Right-click the SKU and click Attach SKU(s) as shown below.

The following screen appears.

The SKU selected to be attached is displayed.
NOTE | You can also attach SKU(s) from the Manage PF screen as mentioned in Attaching SKUs to PF section. |
Click Next to select the PF. The following screen appears.

A list of PFs created in the node are displayed. In this case, there is only 1 PF PF001. However, this PF has 1 child PF as shown below.

NOTE | A PF with one or more PFs as children cannot contain SKUs. In this case, SKUs cannot be attached to PF PF001. An error stating ‘Unable to attach SKU(s) under this PF as selected PF has Child PF’ is displayed. However, you can attach SKUs to PF AV01254. |
Let us attach SKU AV1259 to PF AV01254 as this PF is the ideal fit with attributes relevant to the SKU.
Select the PF, that is, AV01254 and then click Next. The following screen appears.

Figure 143: Confirmation screen to attach SKUs
A detailed information about the SKU being attached to the PF is displayed.
Click Attach SKU(s) and the SKU is attached successfully to the PF.
You can view the details in the PF view which is detailed in section Managing a PF.
Also, once the SKUs are attached to a PF, an icon is displayed next to the SKU in SKU view showing the name of the PF it is attached to as shown below.

Detaching SKUs from a PF
You can detach SKUs that have been attached to a PF. Detaching a SKU from a PF indicates that the SKU does not belong to the PF. Typically, SKUs that no longer have similar attributes as the PF or are irrelevant will be detached from a PF.
NOTE | Detaching a SKU from a PF will not delete the SKU. The SKU will no longer belong to the PF. |
For example, consider the same node Aviator. We just attached a SKU to the PF in Attaching SKUs to a PF section. Let us detach that SKU from the PF.
To detach a SKU from a PF:
Select the node from where the SKU is to be detached from the PF. In this case, the node Aviator.
Go to the SKU view and select the SKU to be detached. For example, let us select the SKU with Item Id AV1259 from Aviator node.
Select the Attach/Detach SKU(s) to Product Family
icon and then click Detach SKU(s) From PF.

The following screen appears.

Figure 144: Detach SKUs from PF
Click Next and details about the SKU and the PF from which it will be detached is displayed as shown below.

Figure 145: Confirmation screen to detach SKUs from PF
Click Detach SKU(s). The SKU is detached successfully from the PF.
icon is displayed next to SKU attributes which are locked. You cannot edit the values of these attributes.
