Audit Trail & Versioning

Introduction

The Audit Trail and Versioning feature helps you track every change made to a SKU, giving you full visibility into how product information evolves over time. Whenever a SKU is updated, the system automatically records a snapshot of its data, along with who made the change and when.

You can view the complete history of a SKU, compare different versions to see what changed, and understand how product information has been updated throughout its lifecycle. Important versions can be tagged with custom names, making it easy to reference key milestones such as releases or approvals.

If needed, you can restore a previous version of a SKU either fully or partially allowing you to undo mistakes or revert to an earlier state. Access to viewing history, comparing versions, and performing rollbacks is controlled by user roles to ensure sensitive actions are properly governed.

The feature is designed to work seamlessly within your existing workflows and provides clear, intuitive indicators in the user interface for viewing history, comparing changes, and restoring versions.

Note: This is a paid feature in PCC, please contact the customer success team to get this feature activated for the specific catalog. Once the feature is activated you can see the Audit Trail icon enabled for all the SKUs in that catalog.
