Attributes define the characteristics of a product (e.g., size, color, voltage), and schemas ensure consistency across categories. In PCC, businesses can build attribute master lists, group them logically (e.g., technical specs vs. marketing content), and apply them to taxonomy nodes via schemas.
For instance, a "Laptop" schema may require Processor, RAM, Storage, Screen Size, and Battery Life as mandatory attributes. Any SKU created under this node will automatically inherit these rules, ensuring data consistency. PCC also supports Units of Measure (UoM) and Lists of Values (LoVs) to standardize inputs.
This structured approach prevents gaps and inconsistencies in product data, ensuring that SKUs across categories follow clear, validated patterns, making them more reliable for customers and partners.
