To create a new channel:

  1. In the Channels page, click Create New Channel and the following dialog box appears.

  2. Enter the Name for the channel.

  3. Select the Source catalog from the drop-down list from where the source data is to be pulled, or the catalog with the SKUs that need to be transformed.

  4. Select the Target catalog from the drop-down list from where the target data is to be pulled, or the catalog where the transformed SKUs from source need to be mapped.

  5. The Persist ItemId in Target option is set to No, by default.

  6. Turn on the Persist ItemId in Target toggle to Yes to ensure that the distributors do not get a system generated GUID but the Supplier SKU ItemId will be generated for distributor SKUs even after the channel has been built.

  7. Choose the Realm, which represents the customer code.

  8. Choose between the following mapping methods based on your requirements:

    • Full CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete): Manages items in the target catalog by reading from the source. It allows configurable many-to-many category mapping and attribute transformation rules at both global and node-map levels.

    • Enrich (Update Only): Updates existing items in the target catalog without creating new ones. Items are matched using user-defined logic, and global attribute transformation rules are applied.

Note: Once the channel is created mapping method cannot be changed.

  9. Click Submit and the channel is created and visible in the Channels page.

NOTE

While creating a channel, you cannot use the same catalog as both the source and target catalog. An error is displayed as follows.
