Description

1.

Added SKU Edit Options for Published SKUs

To enhance flexibility, we’ve added SKU Edit Options for published SKU, providing three configurable modes:

  • Allow Automatic SKU Editing: Post-publish SKUs can be edited directly, without requiring distributor approval.

  • Allow Editing with Distributor Approval: Post-publish edits require a distributor approval workflow. Suppliers must submit take-back requests, and distributors can approve or reject them individually. Only sanctioned SKUs can then be edited.

  • Disallow Editing After Publishing: Post-publish edits are fully blocked.

This feature provides clear governance for post-publish SKU changes, reduces conflicts between suppliers and distributors, and ensures greater control, compliance, and trust in syndicated product data.

2.

Added Support for Importing & Exporting SKU Relationships via Standard File Formats

As part of this enhancement, the system now supports importing and exporting of SKU relationships using standard file formats such as BIF, Vertical, and Horizontal.

This enhancement streamlines the SKU management process, reduces manual effort, and ensures consistency by leveraging commonly used file formats. It enhances efficiency and accuracy for users managing large sets of SKU relationships.

3.

Enhanced Attribute Handling in Grainger Template

In the Grainger Excel template, clearer rules are defined for handling PCC attributes to improve consistency. As part of this enhancement, the following rules have been implemented for handling the PCC attribute in the template:

  • If the PCC attribute has a value, the system will overwrite the existing formula in the corresponding cell with that value.

  • If the PCC attribute is empty, the existing formula in the cell will remain unchanged.

  • If a cell in the Grainger Excel template contains “Not Applicable,” the PCC export will not overwrite or populate values in that cell.

By implementing these rules, the system ensures more reliable data handling within the Grainger Excel template. It prevents incorrect overwrites, maintains data accuracy, and respects user defined “Not Applicable” values.

4.

Prevent Deletion of Attributes and Taxonomy Nodes in Use by Category Templates

Previously, attributes and taxonomy nodes from the main catalog could be deleted even if they were in use within published onboarding templates, leading to broken mappings and data inconsistencies.

With this enhancement, the system now validates whether an attribute or taxonomy node is used in any published onboarding template. If it is in use, deletion is blocked; if not, deletion is allowed.

This improvement ensures data consistency, prevents broken mappings, and safeguards the integrity of published onboarding templates.

5.

Retry Mechanism for Posting SKUs via Public API When Catalog Is Locked

Previously, when customers attempted to post SKUs to a catalog using the Public POST API, the request failed with an error if the catalog was locked for import.

To address this, a retry mechanism has been added that automatically attempts to post SKUs every 5 minutes for up to 24 hours.

This ensures that SKUs are posted successfully once the catalog becomes available, reducing manual intervention and preventing data loss.

6.

Distinct Attribute Value (Option 3) for Distributors

Distributors can now easily inspect distinct attribute values (i.e., unique values for an attribute) from custom uploaded files (Option3) and verify field mappings. The system displays the Syndication and Status information, including messages for unmapped fields.

Distributors can view detailed information for each field, including a sample of distinct values and all associated value records, providing better visibility and data accuracy.

This feature helps distributors quickly identify and validate attribute values, reducing errors in uploaded data, and making it easier to manage and audit custom files.
