A Domain is essentially a super attribute that consists of a set of attributes related or linked together with common values, thereby improving efficiency, and offering an accurate method to manage related attributes in Amaze PIM systems.

When a domain is associated with a SKU, it functions like any normal attribute but differs by having a value further detailed by additional properties. These properties for a domain value are centrally configured and maintained. So, when a product is linked to a domain with that value, it automatically adopts the properties associated with that value. This setup makes it easier to manage and understand product attributes in a more detailed way.

For example, Brand is a super attribute with possible header values Nike, Polo, Adidas. The properties for Brand may include fields like Tagline, Brand Impressions, Parent Manufacturer Name, etc. Each of the super attribute header values (Nike, Polo, Adidas) has its distinct set of property values, which are centrally managed and stored. There can be thousands of SKUs associated with the Brand super attribute. The SKUs which have the value Nike will automatically inherit the properties for Nike; just as the SKUs which have the value Polo will automatically inherit the properties for Polo, and so on. This ensures that brand properties for each brand value are always consistent across all the SKUs because these properties do not have to be maintained in thousands of SKUs as individual attributes. In a way these super attribute header values can be considered as a LoV for an attribute, where the LoV is being defined at the attribute master level.
