Today, customers use e-commerce applications available in the market to provide a hassle-free shopping experience to their consumers. Some examples of these are Magento, Woo Commerce, Shopify and so on. These platforms provide tools for managing their catalogs, product information, marketing promotions etc. that helps the customers to sell their product online as these platforms manage thousands of products easily. PCC on the other hand enables customers to curate their data, manage digital assets, syndicate data and so on. To exchange data between PCC and the e-commerce platform, a connection should be established between these applications which is done through a connector.
PCC has its own built-in connector for each platform which when integrated creates a connection to seamlessly interchange data. Thus, the connector sits between PCC and the external platforms through which you can pull data (from the external platform to PCC) and push data from (PCC to the external platform). The data is basically product information, that is, information about the categories (taxonomy nodes), attributes, configurable variations, attribute family, and so on.
A customer using these e-commerce platforms can have multiple repositories of data depending on the vendors. This means they might have more than one database for their product information. Each data repository in these platforms is referred to as a store. If there are multiple vendors for a customer, a separate store exists for each depending on the requirements. Once the connector is integrated with PCC, the stores present in these external platforms can be configured too through which the required data can be mapped between the store and PCC.
Details about configuring the store and attribute mapping that can be done is explained in the following sections.
To access the Connectors, as you log into PCC, hover to left band with menu items and the following menu is displayed.

Click Connectors and the following screen appears.

Details of the various connectors supported by PCC are displayed.
