A channel defines the mapping relationship of two catalogs. The from-catalog is called the Source. The to-catalog is called the Target. When you create the mapping rules, the Target catalog is populated with data by applying those mapping rules.

To map the data between source and target catalog, you first need to create a channel by selecting the relevant catalogs as source and target. Once the channel is created in PCC, you can view the list of all the channels that are created.

To create and work on a channel, hover the mouse on the menu panel on the upper-left corner of the screen and then click Channels.

The following screen is visible:

On the Channels page, you can perform three different functions. The three functions available are:

  • Creating New Channel

  • Viewing the Channel

  • Launching the Channel

By default, a grid view of the Channel is displayed after you create a Channel. On Channels page, the name of the Source Catalog and Target Catalog is displayed for each Channel along with the Channel Mapping Details.
